We offer two introductory fashion drawing workshops: a computerised (Adobe Illustrator) course and a manual (hand drawing) class. These workshops are open to those who draw for pleasure as well as students with professional aspirations. They are commended for those taking the Start Your Own Label Workshop as well as for HSC Textile & Design students to refine their presentation skills.
Fashion Drawing: Adobe Illustrator
For the Adobe Illustrator Workshop students need to bring a laptop loaded with the program and a mouse to class. A textbook is required and details will be given on enrolment.
References will be provided for students to continue to develop their skills after the workshop.

Fashion Drawing: Manual
For the two day Manual Drawing Workshop, graphite pencils, water based coloured pencils and markers are covered in the course and the cost includes a drawing kit.
References will be provided for students to continue to develop their skills after the workshop.

Drawing composition & shading
Specification drawing for Technical packs including the use of templates and the professional rules and expectations to communicate garment design to pattern markers and machinists.

Technical Pack requirements
Use of proportioned templates and the professional rules and expectations to communicate garment design to pattern markers and machinists.
Use of Artboards, tools, layers and basic shapes
Use of the pen tool to create a T-shirt flat
Use of reflect, align object, pathfinder and brush stroke tools to create a business shirt flat
Use of guidelines and stroke profiles to create a flared skirt flat
Use of layers to create a jacket flat
Creating custom brushes, symbols and patterns
