MAKE A SOCK MONKEY

These adorable stuffed animals can be made using recycled materials. This workshop is open to everyone and is perfect for kids (as long as they are able to sew a straight line using a sewing machine).

SKILL LEVEL

You’ll need to be able to sew a seam using a sewing machine. We will be using a zig zag stitch to sew the Sock Monkey.

CONTENT

We will provide a pattern to mark out and sew the Sock Monkey. The monkey’s features will be hand sewn and the monkey stuffed and sewn shut.

SOCK MONKEY KIT

All the materials to complete the Sock Monkey are included in the kit: a pair of socks, polyester filling, sewing thread, hand sewing needle, embroidery thread and ribbon.

TEACHER

Krishna Armstrong has extensive experience in a wide range of craft and sewing activities including embroidery, cross stitch, patchwork, quilting and crochet and has won an award for costume design.
